RESOL"OTION NO. 1346
A DSOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON CONSENTING
TO AND APPROVING THE ACTS OF 'fHE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE
COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE: OF CALIFORNIA, IN ADOPTING A DSO-
L"OTION DECLARING DOWDY ROAD WITHIN THE CIfi OF VERNON, AS PART
OF THE COUNTY SYSTEM OF HIGHWAYS OF SAID LOS ANGELES COUNTY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CIfi OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
THAT, WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Los Angeles" state of Calif'ornia, did on July 8th,
1947 declare Downey Road from 26th Street to Slauson Avenue in
the City of Vernon a portion of the County System of Highways
of said Los Angeles County, to be improved with construction
of curb" gutter" drainage" stvuctures" pavement, grading, and
other work incidental or appurtenant thereto" as set forth in
said resolution; and
WHEREAS" the Board of Supervisors of said County
has requested the consent of the City Council of the City of
Vernon to perform said work:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby consent to and approve the action of the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles" State of California"
in declaring Downey Road from 26th Street to Slauson Avenue" in
the City of Vernon" to be a part of the County System of Highways
of Los Angeles County, as provided in Sections 1700 to 1702 in-
clusive of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of Calif-
ornia.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Vernon does
hereby consent to the improvement by said County of Los Angeles
of Downey Road in the manner provided for in said resolution of
the Board of Supervisors of said Los Angeles County" adopted
July 8" 1947.
Section 3.
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon, is
