A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CTl'Y OF VERNOB ACCEPTING
'l'W0 HOSE TRUCK BODIES BlJil,T ON CHASSIS 01fltED BY THE CIfi OY
VERNON,IN ACCORDAlICE WITH N~ICE IIVITING SEALED PROPOSALS DD
BIDS.
THE CIft COtJl'CIL OF THE CIfi OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
'!'HAT, WHEREAS, THE city has lBretofore entered into a
contract with AlWlinwa Body Corporation to furnish two hose
truck bodies to be built on chassis owned by the City of Vernon,
as set forth in contract dated May 20" 1947; and
'W~S, the Chief of theCi ty Fire Department has
notified the City Council in writing that said Aluminum Body
Corporationbls built, delivered and installed said truck bodies
built on chassis owned by the City, in a satisfactory mannerj and
WHEREAS, the contract price for the firnishing and
installing of said truck bodies is $3370.00, plus California
Sales Tax) and
WlIEREAS there is now due upon said contract the sum of
$3370.00 plus California Sales Tax, in accordance with the con-
tract heretofore entered into by the City and the Aluminum
Body Corporation:
BOW, THEREFORE, BE If RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.
The City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby accept as of August 19, 1947 the two hose truck
bodies built on chassis owned by the City, in accordance with
the Notice Inviting Sealed Proposals and Bids and the contract
between the Cit,. and the AIWlinum Body Corporation.
Section 2. That the demand of the Aluminum Bod,.
Corporation be paid in the sum of $3370.00 plUS California
Sales Tax in the sum of $84.25, said sum being the amount now
due in accordance with the contract hereinbefore referred to
and now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the Cit,.

Section 3.
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
3 is hereby dil'ected to certifYto the passage of this resolution
4 and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force
5 and effect.
