2 A RESOLU'l'ION OF THE CI'fY CODCIL OF 'mE CI'fY OF VERNON FIXING
THE NAME OF A CERTAIN STREET WITHIIf TO CITY OF VERKON.

5 THAT WHEREAS there is a certain public street within
TO CITY COUIfCIL OF THE CITY OF VERKOK DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
6 the City of Vernon between santa Fe Avenue and Downey Road, which
7 is sometimes referred to as Fruitland Road, Fruitland Avenue and
8 Fruitland Avenue Extension, and
9 WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the city council that
10 public interest and convenience would best be served by fixing
11 and designating a name for said street so that henceforth the
12 street would have one official name and would not be confusing
13 to the citizens of said City:
14 NOW TOREFORE" BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1.
That public interest and convenience re-
16 quires and theCit1CoUncfl of the City of Vernon does hereby
17 order that the name of Fruitland Road" Fruitland Avenue and
18 Fruitland Avenue extension in said City be changed to FRT.JITLAID
19 AVElIUE throughout the entire length of said street from Santa
20 Fe Avenue to ...Downey Road.

Section 2.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
22 of this resolution and thereupon and thereafter the same shall
23 be in full force and effect..
24 ADOPTED AID APPROVED this 18th day of November" 1947.
