RESOLUTION NB. 1370
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING
GENERAL PE'1.'ROLEUM CORPORATION FRANCHISE BOND WITH FIREMAN'S
FUND IDDEDITY COMPANY IN LIEU OF BOND NOW ON FILE WITH THE CITY,
BEING FRANCHISE BOlID NO. 1794354 WRITTEN WITH HARTFORD ACCIDENT
and IlIDEDITY COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF $1000.00
THE CI'l'Y COUNCIL OF THE CI'1'Y OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
THAT, WHEREAS" the General Petroleum Corporation has
filed a certain bond with the City of Vernon under Ordinance
#532 and requested that the bond now on file be released as
of April 2" 1948; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Counsel to
conform to the request of the General Petroleum Corporation:
NOW, 'l'HEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1. That the City Counc~l of the City of
Vernon does hereby accept the bond re-written with the Fireman's
Fund Indemnity Company to become effective on the anniversary
date of the bond now on file, to-wit: April 2nd, 1948.
Section 2.
The Hartford Accident and Indemnity Company
are hereby released rrom any liability under their bond #1794354
from and after April 2, 1948.
Section 3.
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
