RESOLUTION NO. 1386
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AUTHOR-
IZING AND INSTRUCTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A
CERTAIN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF VERNON., CITY OF LOS
ANGELES AND SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY.

THE CITY C OUNC IL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS BOLLOWS:
WHEREAS., the Public Utilities Commission of the State
of California did by its decisions #40858 and #41171 instruct
that certain work be done on Alameda Street between 24th Street
and Slauson Avenue., said work to be done by the City of Vernon,
the City of Los Angeles and the Southern Pacific Railroad; and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been entered into between
the City of Los Angeles and the City of Vernon as to the con-
struction and maintenance of said work., as will more fully
appear in the attached contract; and
WHEREAS., there has been presented to the City a
form of contract which has been approved by E. R. Young,
Special Counsel and the City Attorney of the City of Vernon;
NOW., THEREFORE., BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.
That the Mayor and the City Clerk of the
City of Vernon be, and they are hereby authorized and instructed
to execute three copies of said contract for and on behalf of
the City of Vernon.
Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the pasaage of this resolution
and thereupon and thereafter the same ahall be in full force
and effect.
