6 WHEREAS., the City Council of the City of Vernon
7 did on the 6th day of July., 1948 call an election to be held
8 in said city on the 16th day of July" 1948 for the purpose
9 of permitting the employees of said city of expressing by
10 secret ballot their approval or dif,Japproval of the proposal.
11 of the City'Council of the City of Vernon to enter into a
12 contract with:the Board ot Admin1st~ilon of the State Em-
13 ployees Retirement System to include said employees in sald
14 retirement system; a.n.d
15 'WHEREAS, said election vas duly held. on sa~d 16th
day of July., 1948 in the lobby of the Cit1 Hall of the City

WHEREAS, 'said pollS vere open for the cas t1ng .of the
vote herein referred to from the hours of 7:00 A.M. to 7:00
P. M. on said date; a.n.d
WHEREAS., the City Counei1 of the City ot Vel'non did
by its Resolution calling said eleetion and appointing Judges
of said election; and
WHEREAS" said election wa.s held in the manner and

canvassing by the City Council and the results ot said
