RESOLUTION NO. 1414
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AWARD-
ING TO G.M.C.TRUCK & COACH DIVISION, GENERAL MOTORS CORPORA-
TION THE CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERING OF ONE MODEL
FC-152-G.M.C. PICKUP IN ACCORD WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO. 147
OF THE CITY OF VERNON AND THE NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS
OR BIDS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
THAT, WHEREAS, the City has heretofore publicly ad-
vertised for bids for the furnishing and delivery of one ~iekup
truck descriped in Specifications #147 and the Notice Inviting
Sealed Proposals or Bids; and
WHEREAS., the City Engineer of the City of Vernon has
checked all bids and has reported in writing to the City Council
of the City of Vernon that the bid of G.M.C. TRUCK & COACH
DIVISION, GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION was the lowest and best
bid; and
WHEREAS, the bid of G.M.C. TRUCK & COACH DIVISION
GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION for the furnishing and delivery of
said pickup trpck to the City of Vernon in accordance with
Specifications #147 was ror the sum of $1561.00, including
California sales tax.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1.
That all bids heretofore received for
the furnishing and delivery of the pickup truck referred to in
Specifications #147 and the Notice Inviting Sealed Proposals
or Bids be, and the same are hereby rejected with the exception
of the bid of G.M.C. TRUCK & COACH DIVISION, GENERAL MOTORS
CORPORATION, and that it be awarded the contract at the price
of $1561.00., including California Sales tax.
Section 2.
The City Clerk is hereby instructed and
empowered to return all checks to the unsuccessful bidders.

Section 3.
The City Attorney of the City of Vernon
is authorized to mraw a contract in the name of the City to
.
conform to the bid of said Contractor and Specifications #147.,
and the Notice Inviting Sealed Proposals or Bids.
Section 4.
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
is hereby directed to certify to the passage of this resolution
and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force
and effect.

do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution No. 1414, was
