RESOLUTION NO. 1415
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING
THE FINAL TEST REPORTS OF THE SOUTHEBN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY
AS TO THE CONVERSION OF THE CITY'S DIESEL ELECTRIC GENERATING
PLANT FROM AN OPERATING FREQUENCY OF FIFTY CYCLES TO SIXTY CYCLES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOW:
THAT, WHEREAS, the City of Vernon did exercise its option
with the Southern California Edison Company, lessees of the
City of Vernon Diesel Electric operating plant, to change the
frequency from Fifty cycles to Sixty cycles., as fully set
forth in Resolution #1289 of the City of Vernon; and
WHEREAS., the Southern California Edison Company
has completed the change-over as set forth in said Resolution
#1289; and
WHEREAS, Carl A. Heinze, Consulting Electrical En-
gineer of the City of Vernon, has made an examination of the
'Work dome by said Southern California Edison Company., and has
filed his report with the City Council of the City of Vernon:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.
That the City Council of the City of
Vernon does hereby accept the work of the Southern California
Edison Company in the conversion of the Diesel Electric Gen-
erating Plant from an operating frequency of fifty cycles to
sixty cycles and that said work is satisfactory and in accord-
ance with the requirements of Resolution #1289 of the City of
Vernon.
Section 2.
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
is hereby directed to cause a certified copy of this resolu-
tion to be delivered to the Southern California Edison Company,
Ltd. and also cause,a certified copy thereof to be delivered to
the Electrical Engineer of the City of Vernon.

Section 3.
The Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this resolution and thereupon and thereafter the same
shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 7th day of December, 1948.
