RESOLUTION NO. 1423
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON FIXING
THE DELINQUENT DATE REFERRED TO IN SECTION 19 OF ORDINANCE NO.
598, AS MARCH 31, 1949.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF '1.'HE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
THAT." 'WHEREAS., the City of Vernon did enact an Ordinance
No. 598 licensing certain businesses within the City of Vernon.,
for the purpose of revenue and regulation; and
WHEREAS, under the terms of the Ordinance, particularly
Section 19 thereof, the date of delinquency of the licensee was
fixed; and
'WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to
extend the date of delinquency to March 31, 1949 for the quarter
ending March 31, 1949; and
WHEREAS., many manufacturers within the City of Vernon
have requested an extension of time to file their report and
pay their license., OWing to the fact of their extended bus-
iness and nookkeeping system which would require a great deal
of time to secure the date required by said Ordinance:
NOW." THEREFORE., BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1. That the delinquent date for all annual.,
semi-annual and quarterly licenses be extended to March 31.,1949.
Section 2. The City Clerk shall notify all persons re-
questing an extension of time that said delinquent date has been
set as March 31,1949 for the first quarter of the 1949 license.
Section 3. The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this resolution and
thereupon and thereafter same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED, this ls t day' of March." 1949.
