Upon motion duly made, seconded, and unanimously car-
ried, the following resolution was adopted:
BE IT RESOLVED That by the death of Judge
Thomas V. Cassidy the City of Vernon has suffer-
ed an irreparable loss, and each member of the
Council has lost a personal friend. For more than
twenty-five (25) years Judge Cassidy has been City
Attorney, performing the arduous duties of that
office with great and unusual ability, diligence and
integrity. Despite the great demands made upon
him he was never too busy to listen to the troubles
of others and was always ready with helpful counsel
and advice. We extend to his family our most sincere
sympathy.
This resolution shall be incorporated in the
minutes and a copy sent to his widow.
