A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, AUTH-
ORIZING AND INSTRUCTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO SIGN A
MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES AND THE
CITY OF VERNON FOR TRAFFIC SIGNALS AND TRAFFIC REGULATORY
DEVICES AT WASHINGTON BOULEVARD AND GRANDE VISTA AVENUE (DOWNEY
ROAD)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
THAT WHEREAS, the City of Los Angeles has installed
traffic signals and traffic regulatory devices at the inter-
section of Washington Boulevard and Grande Vista Avenue, (Downey
RoadO and
WHEREAS, the above mentioned intersection is half within
the City of Vernon and the City of Los Angeles, and
WHEREAS, the City of Los Angeles has submitted a maint-
enance agreement for the operation of said traffic signals and
devices, and that each city shall bear the cost equally.
NOW,THEREFOBE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and the City Clerk of the
City of Vernon be, and they are hereby authorized and instructed
to execute the said agreement for and on behalf of the City.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.

certify that the foregoing Resolution No. 143', was duly adopted
by the City Council of the City of Vernon, and approved by the
Mayor at a regular meeting held on May 3, 1949.
