RESOLUTION NO. 1440

2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON CREATING
THE OFFICE OF "MANAGER OF CITY AFFAIRS" AND APPOINTING G. A.
3 ANDERSON, MANAGER OF CITY AFFAIRS.
4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VEmTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
5 THAT, WHEREAS, the City Council of the Ci~ of Vernon
6 deems it to be for the best interests of said city that the office
7 of Manager of City Affairs be created,
8 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

Section 1. That it is for the best interests of the
10. City of Vernon, and in the judgment of the City Council deemed
11 necessary, that the office of Manager of City Affairs be and it is
12 hereby created.

Section 2. That said office shal1 at all times be sub-
14 ordinate to the City council and shal1 perform such duties as may
15 be prescribed by law or the direction of the City Council.
16
Section 3. The Manager of City Affairs shal1 hold
17 office for such term as meets with the approval of the City Council
18 and shal1 receive such compensation as may be allowed by the City
Council.

Section 4.
And Be it Further Resolved that G. A.
21 Anderson is hereby appointed Manager of City Affairs of the City of
22 Vernon, said appointment to take effect immediately.

section 5. The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is here
24 by directed to certify to the passage of this resolution and there-
25 upon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effe ct.

hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution No. 1440, was duly
adopted by the City Council of the City of Vernon, and approved by
the Mayor of said City at a regular meeting thereof held on June 21
