A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON GRANTING PEffi.1ISSION TO CITY COUNCIL-
MAN J. B. LEONIS TO ABSENT HIMSELF AN ADDITIONAL
90 DAYS FR0l1 REGULAR MEETINGS OF SAID CITY COUNCIL
COMMENCING AUGUST 15, 1949
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
THAT \'JHEREAS, City Councilman J. B. Leonis of the City
of Vernon is temporarily unable to attend the meetings of the
City Council; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of said City
to grant permission to said councilman to absent himself from
regular meetings of the City Council until he is physically able:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby grant permission to J. B. Leonis, Councilman of the
City of Vernon to absent himself from regular meetings of the
City Council for a period of 90 days, commencing August 15, 1949.
Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall certify
to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 2nd day of August, 1949.

I, T. J. Furlong, City Clerk of the City of Vernon, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Resolution No. 1446 was duly adopted
by the City Council of the City of Vernon, and approved by the
Mayor of said City at a regular meeting thereof held on the
2nd day of August, 1949.
