A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON, ACCEPTING DEED FROM SANTA FE LAND
IMPROVEMENT COMPANY, A CALIFORNIA CORPORATION
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
THAT, WHEREAS, SANTA FE LAND IMPROVEMENT COMPANY, a
California corporation, has tendered to the City of Vernon,
the attached deed for certain property to be used for street
purposes wi thin the city, and
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon is desirous of accepting
same:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RES OLVED :
Section 1: That the City of Vernon does hereby accept
the attached deed from SANTA FE LAND IJv1PROVEMENT COMPANY, a
California corporation, to the City of Vernon.
Section 2: The City Clerk is authorized, instructed
and empowered to have same recorded in the name of the City.
Section 3: The City C1er~ is hereby directed to certify
to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter
the same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 16th day of August, 1949.

hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution No. 1447 was duly
adopted by the City Council of the City of Vernon, and approved

Gentlemen:
Herewith is fully executed deed from Santa Fe
Land Improvement Company" to City of Vernon, for a new
street" 80 ft. wide lying southerly of Vernon Avenue"
and extending fromSoto Street on the west" to .Alcoa
Avenue, on the east.
This deed" as written, is satisfactory to me
and it is recommended that same be accepted and recorded
in the County records.
Also, it is recommended that the newly dedica-
ted street be named 44TH STREET.
