RESOLUTION No. 11+49
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON FIXING
THE NAME. OF A CERTAIN STREET WITHIN THE CITY OF VERNON AS
3 FORTY FOURTH STREET.
4 THE CITY COlJlfCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

THAT, WHEREAS, the City of Vernon has acquired certain
6 pz-operties within said City fo.r street purposes; and

WHEREAS, it is .theopinion of the City Council that
8 public interes t and convenience would best be served by f'ixing
9 and designating a name for said street, so that henceforth said
10 stz-eet would have one official name and would not be. confu~ing
11 to the citizens of said City:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
Section L. '!'hat public interest and convenience re-
14 quire and the City Council of the City of Vernon does hereby
15 order that the name of 44th Street be applied to that certain
16 street being situated in the City of Vernon, county of Los
17 Angeles, s tate of California, being 80 feet in width andapproXi-
18 mate1y 1326 feet northerly of the center line of Leonis Boulevard,
19 extending from the easterly line of Soto Street to the westerly
20 11neof Alcoa Avenu.e, all in the city of Vernon, county.oft,os
21 Angeles, IStatehof California.

Section 2. '!'he City Clerk shall cert.ifyto the pass-
23 age. of this resolution and thereupon and thereafter the same
24 shall be in full force and effect.
