RESOLUTION NO. 1451.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, APPROV-
ING ASSESSMENT FOR THE PAYMENT OF THE WORK DONE PURSUANT TO
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1383 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

THAT, WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Vernon
did on June 15, 1948 approve Resolution of Intention No.
1383 for the improvement of Fruitland Avenue and Hampton Street,
as fully set forth in said Resolution of Intention No. 1383, and
WHEREAS the Superintendent of Streets of the City
of Vernon in accordance with the Improvement Act of 1911 did
enter into a contract for the doing of said work, and
WHEREAS thesai. Superintendent of Streets of the
City of Vernon has accepted as completed to his satisfaction
all of the work contemplated by Resolution of Intention No.
1383 of the City of Vernon, and
WHEREAS an assessment for the payment of said work
referred to in said contract and in said Resolution of Inten-

tion has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Vernon,
and
WHEREAS the said City Clerk has published, posted
and .mai1ed notices of said assessment in the manner andfor.m
required by law, and
WHEREAS said City C.lerkhas set this 20th day of
September, 1949 as the date for the hearing of any objections to
said assessment before the City Counei1 of the City of Vernon, and
WHEREAS the City Council at its regular meeting this
20th day of September, 1949 in open session" hearing all protests
or objections to said assessment, and asking any and all persona
present who had any objection, to appear before the Council
and state their objections, after due consideration of the pro-

Section 1. That said assessment7 having heretofore
been .filed7 the said City Council of the City of Vernon being

satisfied with the correctness of said assessment, and no
protests having been filed7 does hereby confirm the pro-
ceedings and the assessment now be.fore it.
Section 2. Said assessment and the diagram at-
tached thereto shall be filed with the City Clerk in the
manner and .form required by law.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to
the passage o.f this resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
