City of
Vernon,
Gentlemen:
In connection with proposed additional ele.ctrica1
installations, we. recently completed a survey of the loadfn
the various circui ts,andtheswitcl1-boa.rd capacity, intb.e
City RaIl. We found that the -exlst1ng.MfacllTtre-s'-'not only can'
not be expanded but also they are entirely inadequate for the
existing load. < '
Mr. Carl A. Heinze, Consulting Electrical Engineer,
advises that the situation with respect to the over-load is
critical and must be remedied at once because of the dangerous
fire hazard. We have a proposal from Littlejohn-Reuland
Corpot'ation, .in amount not to exceed $2057.00, for immediate
re-bui1ding of existing facilities together with provision for
future requirements, which proposal and plan has been appro~~d
by Mr. Heinze.
Under the circumstances, it is recommended that
gency appropriations be approved, in above amount, and
be authorized to arrange with Littlejohn-Reuland Corporat
immediately complete the work in accordance with their
dated Decem:per.22, 1949, co:py of which is attached.
