RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON.
CALIFORNIA. . TERMINATING EMPLOYMENT AND AUTHORITY OF
SPECIAL COUNSEL

WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Vernon has from time to
time in the past employed EDWARD R. YOUNG, an attorney at law, to
represent the City of Vernon, its Councilmen, officers and
employees, in various and sundry legal matters; and
WHEREAS, the Council is of the opinion that the public
interest will best be served by terminating the employment of
Edward R. Young as such Special Counsel;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1:
That the employment of EDWARD R. YOUNG, as
Special Counsel, to represent the City of Vernon, its Councilmen,
and its Officers and employees, be, and the same is hereby termin-
ated effective immediately, and that any and all authority hereto-
fore vested by this Council in the said Edward R. Young to repre-
sent the City of Vernon, the Council, the members of the City
Council, or the Officers or employees of the City of Vernon, be
and the same is hereby revoked and rescinded effective immediately.
Section 2: That a copy of this resolution duly attested and
certified by the City Clerk or a Deputy City Clerk of the City of
Vernon, California, be delivered or transmitted to the said Edward
R. Young.
Section 3: That a request be made to the said Edward R. Young
by the Mayor of the City of Vernon to deliver to the City of Vernon,
at the City Hall of the City of Vernon or to such officer or
employee of the City of Vernon as the Mayor of the City of Vernon
may direct, all files and documents covering any and all legal
proceedings and other matters in the possession of the said Edward
R. Young and pertaining to the City of Vernon, the Council of the

City of Vernon, or to any of its Councilmen, Officers or employees.
Section 4:
The City Clerk or Deputy City Clerk shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution of the Council of the
City of Vernon~ and said Resolution shall thereupon take effect
immediately.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Vernon at
an adjourned regular meeting and approved by the Mayor of said City~
this 24th day of January, 1950.
