RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF VERNON

VTrlEREAS, the State of California, under Chapter 47,
statutes of 1944, (4th Extra Session) has appropriated funds for
allotment to Local Agencies, defined therein as cities,
counties or cities and counties, for the purpose of defraying
not to exceed one-half of the cost of preparing engineering
field surveys, engineering or architectural designs and working
and detailed drawings and specifications, and for the purpose
of paying one-half or less of the cost of acquisition of rights-
of-way and sites, for postwar public works projects in which
there is a State interest (as qualified by the Act), all as set
forth in said Act; and
VfllEREAS, the aforesaid Act authorizes a Local Agency to
assign the money allocated to it thereunder, or any portion
thereof, to any other Local Agency, or to any governmental unit
or district in this state; and
~~REAS, the City of Vernon has had allocated to it by
said,Act an allocation for Plan Preparation andAcql isition of
Rights-or-way and Sites which contains a sufficient balance to
permit the assignment therefrom of Eleven Hundred Five and 87/
100 Dollars ($1105.87) to the City of Los Angeles, and it is
desired to make such assignment;
NOW, Tl-1EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Vernon
hereby assigns to the City of Los Angeles from the aforesaid
allocation for Plans Preparation the sum of Seven Hundred Seventy-
seven and 69/100 Dollars ($777.69) and for Acquisition of Rights-
of-way and Sites the sum of Three Hundred Twenty-eight and 18/100

Dollars (.$328.18), for the sole use of such assignee, such
assignment to be for the uses and purposes of the aforesaid
Act; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that certified copies of this
Resolution shall be filed with the Assignee, the state Control-
ler, the state Director of Finance, and the Postwar Public
Works Review Board.
