] RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON EMPLOYING
STA..l\ILEY W. GUTHRIE SPECIAL ATTORNEY TO ACT IN ALL MATTERS PERTAIN-
2 NG TO THE CITY'S CONTRACT ~~TH THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON
OMPANY.

HE CITY COUNCIL. OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

WHEREAS, The City of Vernon has various contracts with the
6 Southe rn california Edison Company pertaining to the operation of
7 the Vernon power plant and the furnishing of electricity to the
8 Oi ty of Vernon, and
9
WHEREAS, Stanley w. Guthrie, Attorney-at-law, has, for
10 several years past, handled said contracts for the City of Vernon
11 through the Vernon Industrial Association,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1. That Stanley W. Guthrie be employed by the
14 City of Vernon as Special Oounsel in all matters pertaining to
15 various contracts between the City of Vernon and the Southern Gali-
16 fornia Edison Company.

Section 2. The Oi ty Clerk of the City of Vernon is hereby
18 directed to certify to the passage of this Resolution.
