RESOLUTION NO.
1 A RESOLUTION OF TEE CITY OF VERNON FIXING TIm RA'fE OF TAXES AND
LEVYING THE TAXES FOB Tm~ FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1950.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

4 Section 1. That for the purpose of raising the sum of
5 money to be raised by taxation upon taxable property in the City
6 o,f Vernon as revenue to carryon the various departments of the
7 City for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1950, the rate of
8 taxes for the different portions of the City of Vernon are hereby
9 fixed and the taxes are hereby levied on all taxable property in
10 the different portions of said city for the fiscal year beginning
11 July 1, 1950, in the number of cents upon each One hundred dol-
12 lar3 of the assessed value of said property, as assessed by the
13 County Assessor and equalized by the Board of Supervisors of said
14 County of Los Angeles, and for the several funds and purposes set
15 forth in the following table, the taxes levied upon property in
16 each portion of said City hereinafter described and designated by
17 a District number, being at the rates set opposite the designa-
18 tions of the respective funds in the column headed by the dis-
19 trict number which is prefixed to the description of each such
20 portion of said City, as hereinafter stated.
21 DIS'fRICT NO.1: All that portion of the City of Vernon
22 included within the boundaries thereof as originally incorpor-
23 ated; all that territory annexed to the City of Vernon at annexa-
24 tion election held July 9, 1925, and kno\m as VEITh10N AVENUE AN-
25 NEXATION; all that territory annexed to the City of Vernon at
annexation election held October 3, 1928 and known as VERNON AND
DOWNEY TERl{[ l'OHY.
DISTRICT NO.2: All that terri tory annexed to the Oi ty
of Vernon at annexation election held October 26, 1920 known as
INDUSTRIAL TRACT; all that territory annexed to the City of
Vernon at annexation election held February 20, 1914, known as
32 FRUITLAND TRACT; all that territory annexed to the City of

there is hereby levied. upon all taxable property in the several
sewer and municipal improvement districts of said City for the
fiscal year July 1, 1950 in the number of the cents upon each

There being no newspaper printed,
7 published and circulated in the City of Vernon, the City Clerk
8 is hereby directed to certify to the passage of this Resolu-
9 tion and shall post same, or cause same to be posted in tb:ree
10 of the most public places in the City of Vernon, to wit:
11 The northwest corner of 38th street and santa Fe Avenue, the
12 northwest corner of 37th Street and santa Fe Avenue, and the
13 Bulletin Board in the Lobby of the City Hall of the City of
14 Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, and that immediately
15 upon the posting thereof this resolution shall be in full
16 force and effect.
