RESOLUTI ON NO. 1498
2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AUTHORIZING
TP~E EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT PERMITTING FILTROL CORPORATION, A
3 DELAWARE CORPORATION, TO CONSTRUCT AND MAINTAIN A PRIVATE 12"
DIAMETER VITRIFIED CLAY PIPE SEVIER LINE ACROSS 26th STREET IN THE
4 CITY OF VERNON.
5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VEHNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

WHEREAS, FILTROL CORPORATION, a Delaware corporation,
7 is having considerable trouble in disposing of industrial affluent
8 from its Vernon plant, and
9
~~EREAS, the said Filtrol corporation is desirous of
10 building a private sewer to handle their industrial waste, and
11
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon will suffer no detriment in
12 permitting the said 12" sewer line to cross 26th Street at the
13 place and in the manner specified in the License Permit proposed
14 to be given to the Filtrol corporation,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
section 1. That the City of Vernon hereby authorizes
17 the granting of a permit to the said Filtrol corporation for the
18 crossing of 26th street with a 12" sewer line, and, after the
19 approval of the permit agreement by the City Attorney and the
20 City Engineer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
21 and directed to execute said license agreement.

section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to certify
23 to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and thereafter
24 the same shall be in ful1 force and effect.
