A RESOLUTION OF TH:E CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AUTHORIZ-
ING RENTING OF SAFE DEPOSIT BOX FROM THE CITIZENS NATIONAL TRUST
& SAVIN GS BANK OF LOS AN GELES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

RESOLVED, That Vincent Robert Poxon, Treasurer
of the City of Vernon, be, and he is hereby, author-
ized and directed to rent a safe deposit box from the
Citizens National Trust & savings Bank of LOS Angeles,
subject to all of the rules and regulations of said

bank;

That Vincent Robert Poxon, Treasurer of said City,
together with Robert J. Furlong, Mayor of said City, or
G. A. Anderson, City Clerk of said City, be, and they

are hereby, authorized to have access to said safe de-
posit box, and shal1 have ful1 power and authority to
15

do and perform, with reference to both withdrawing or
changing, from time to time, the contents of said safe
deposit box, or in relation to any other thing pertain-
ing thereto, including the surrender of said safe deposit
box and the keys thereof, and all things which said bank
or its agents may deem necessary in and about the premi-

ses;

That the City of Vernon agrees to save said Bank,

its successors and assigns, harmless from and against any
24
and all demands, liabilities, loss, damages, or expense
of whatsoever kind or nature, including attorney's fees,
25
which it shal1 at any time sustain or incur by reason or
in consequence of its relying or acting upon any of the
agreements, declarations, conditions or regulations con-
tained herein or printed on the reverse of the current
and any subsequent rental receipt issued to this city
to which it agrees. This agreement shall be binding

1 upon the successors and assigns of this city.
2 That no rescission, modification, revocation or
3 termination of all or any part of the within resolu~
4 tion or of any powers conferred thereby shall be ef-
5 fective as to the said Bank until written notice of
6 the same h as be en g1 ven to the office or branch of said
7 bank at which said safe deposit box is rented;
8 That a copy of this resolution be delivered to said
9 bank.
10 This resolution supersedes all prior authorizations
11. which are hereby cancelled.
12 The City Clerk shall certify 'to the passage of this
13 resolution and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in
14 full force and effect.
