RESOLUTION NO. l~o8 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DECLARING PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES TO BE USED IN THE DRILLING OF ONE WATER 1JIJELL, .AND THE DEVELOPING AND TESTING THEREOF FOR THE CITY OF VERNONi CALIFORNIA, IN ACCORD/41{CE WITH ENGINEER'S SPECI- FICATIONS NO. 53. ' THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Vernon has ascertained and does hereby find and declare that the gen- eral prevailing rate per diem for wages for laborers, workmen and mechanics employed by contractors and sub-contractors, for the doing of any work set forth in Specifications No. 153, which Specifications were duly adopted by the City Council on october 17, 1950, in Resolution No. 1Jlo; , is as follows: The general prevailing rate of the per diem wages, rates for Legal Holidays, and overtime work, in the locality in which this work is to be performed, for each craft or type of workman or mechanic needed to execute the contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder, is determined to be as fol1ows: Foremen: AIl Foremen not herein separately classified shall be paid not less than $1.40 per day more than the journeyman rate for the craft involved. Apprentices: May be employed in conformity with Section 1777.5 of the California Labor code.
