THE CIT'.l COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERt'JON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
~~EREAS, the City of Vernon has heretofore authorized
the County of Los Angeles and the County Counsel thereof to rep-
resent said City and its officers in the above entitled actions
and in the so-called bank vault door and counter-line tax liti-
gation; and
iVHEREAS, the City of Los Angeles has a common interest
with said county of Los Angeles and said City of Vernon in the
questions and in the determination of the validity of the taxes
and in the subject matter of the controversy therein; and
'lJI1HEREAS, said County of Los Angeles a..rJ.d said C1 ty of
Los Angeles have incurred and paid costs and expenses in connec-
tion with litigation and the appeals therein, and a portion
thereof was incurred by and on behalf of said City of Vernon;
NOW, THEHEFORE, be it resolved that the City of Vernon
has obligated itself and does hereby obligate itself to repay
to said County of Los Angeles and said City of Los Angeles the
costs and expenses which the said C01mty and the said City, or
either of them, have advanced and paid for or on behalf of said
City of Vernon in said litigation and upon the trial and appeal
thereof, such payment to be made only upon recovery and receipt

1 of said costs and expenses by said City of Vernon, and to De
2 limited to the amount so recovered and so received by said
3 City of Vernon.
4 The City Clerk shal1 certify to the passage of this
5 resolution and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in
6 full force and effect.
