THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
~HAT WHEREAS, on the 6th day ot March, 1951, at 2:00
o'clock P. M., sealed bids were opened tor the furnishing of
ma.terial and doing of the work as set forth in specifications NO.
154 and plans No. Bl2B-lI09 and No. Bl2m-ll44, and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to the City Engineer
for checking, and
WHEREAS, the above numbered specifications and plans
were heretofore approved by the City council of the City of
vernon by Resolution No. 1516, and

WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Vernon has
reported to the City Council, under date of March 16,1951, ad-
vising that the bid ot Electric and Machinery service, Ino~,
of 4493 Firestone Boulevard, south Gate, california, in the
sum of Two Thousand Six Hundred Seventy Eight and NollOO Dollars
<$2,678.00) is the lowest bid for said work,

Section 1. That the CitYCounail of the 01 ty o~ Vernon
does hereby authorize the execu;;ion of a contract, as Bet forth
in saidSpecifieations NO. 154, with Electric and Machinery
service, Ino., for the doing of the work and the furnishing of
the materials as set forth in sa.id speoifications NO. 154.
Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall

Gentlemen:
In response to invitation for bids, issued February
6, 1951, for the furnishing and installing of traffic control
signals in accordance with Specifications No. 154 at the inter-
se.ctions of' Soto Street and Fruitland Avenue, and Leonis Boulevard
and Boyle Avenue, respectively, two bids were received and opened
at meeting of the City Council, March 6, 1951, and referred to the
City Engineer for a report.
Following is tabulation of the bids:
