RESOLUTION NO. l533
1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CI TY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AUTHORIZ-
ING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMEN'T OF PUBLIC
2 WORKS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
3 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
4 THAT WHEREAS, the City Council determines that it is
5 for the best interests of said city that the motor vehicle fuel
6 tax distributed for expenditures in the City of vernon be kept
7 on deposit with the Department of Public works of the S'tate of
8 california,
9 NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED:

section 1. That the City enter into. an acoumulation
agreement with said Department covering the 1951 fisoal year
in terms and figures as follows, to wit:
-ACCUMULATION AGREEMENT - 1951 FISCAL YEAR"

"MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT entered into by and between
the City of Vernon, hereinafter referred to as the city,

and the Department or Public works of the state of cali-
17
fornia, hereinafter referred to as the department,
"WITNESSETH, THAT, WHEREAS, in accordance with the
provisions of seotion 194 of the streets and Highways
Code, the department shall expend or cause to be expended
within the oities of this state the amount transferred
to the state Highway- Fund in accordance with section 2107
for expenditure upon major city streets 'in the proportion
that the total population of each city bears to the total
population of all cities in this state; and
-wHEREAS, under the provisions of Section 100 of the
streets and Highways Code the city desires to authorize
the accumulation of funds aocruing to said city during
the fisoal year ending June 30, 1951;
"NOW, THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed that the de-
partment will accumulate and hold for future expenditure
