RESOLUTION No. l549
1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPT-
ING WORK ON PUMP FROM WELL No.8, PUMPING PLANT No.3, CITY OF
2 VERNON.
3 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
4 THAT, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon
5 did heretofore enter into a contract with Layne &: Bowler corpora-
6 tion to furnish and deliver replacements and additions to said
7 pump as set forth in their contract of July 27, 1951, and
8 WHEREAS, Layne &: Bowler Corporation did complete the
9 work and equipment in accordance with the aforesaid contract, and
10 WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Vernon did
11 examine the work-and recommends that said work be accepted by
12 the City,
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

Section l. That the furnishing and delivery to the
City of Vernon of the following work and equipment, to wit:
Replacement of 13 impellers, wear rings and bushings,
Replacement of impeller shaft,
Replacement of one 5 foot section of at" I.D. tubing,
Replacement of strainer on suction pipe,
Clean and poliSh four lengths of shafting,
Addition of two stages, complete, to pump bowls,
Addition of 50 foot extension to 12" diameter pump,
column, complete with tube and shaft,

be, and the same is hereby, accepted as completed in accordance
with the terms of the aforesaid contract.

Section 2. The Ci ty Clerk of the Ci ty of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this Resolution and
thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
25
effect.
