RESOLUTION NO. 1551
1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AWARDING
TO LAYNE & BOlJl.TLER CORPORATION A CONTRACT FOR A DEEP WELL TURBINE
2 PUMPING UNIT AND ACCESSORY EQUIPMENT FOR WELL NO. 5 IN ACCORD-
ANCE 1UTH SPECIFICATIONS No. 160.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon has heretofore publicly
advertised for bids for the furnishing and delivery to the City
of Vernon of a deep well turbine pumping unit and accessory
equipment for Water Well No.5, and
WHEREAS, Layne & Bowler Corporation has filed a bid
for the furnishing of said materials and work at a cost to the
City of Vernon of Two Thousand One Hundred Forty Four and 96/100
Dollars ($2,144.96), and
WHEREAS, no other bids for said deep well turbine

pumping unit and accessory equipment were received,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE I T RESOLVED:
Section l. That Layne & Bowler Corporation be awarded
the contract for said deep well turbine pumping unit and access-
ory equipment at the net price named in their bid, to wit: TwO
Thousand One Hundred Forty Four and 96/100 Dollars ($2,144.96).
Section 2. That the City Attorney of the City of
21 Vernon be authorized to draw a contract to conform to the bid

Section 3. The City Clerk of the city of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
Adopted and approved at a regular meeting of said
