RESOLUTION No. 1553 1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL 01<" THE CITY OF VERNON DECLARING PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES TO BE PAID IN FURNISHING AND IN- 2 STALLING THREE-WAY FM RADIO COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS IN ACCORDANCE WITH ENGINEER'S SPECIFICATIONS No. 159. 3 4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: 5 6 7 8 Section 1. The City Council of the City of Vernon has ascertained and does hereby find and declare that the general prevailing rate per diem for wages for laborers, workmen and mechanics employed by contractors and sub-contractors, for the 9 10 doing of any work set forth in Specifications No. 159, which specifications were duly adopted by the City Council on September 18, 1951, in Resolution No. 1552, is as follows: 11 12 The general prevailing rate of the per diem wages, rates for Legal Holidays, and overtime work, in the locality in 13 14 15 which this work is to be performed, for each craft or type of workman or mechanic needed to execute the contract which will be 16 awarded to the successful bidder, is determined to be as follows: 17 18 19 20 PER DI EM WAGE HOURLY WAGE RATE HOURLY RATE FOR LEGAL HOLIDAYS fu'lD OVERTIME CLASS OF WORK Electricians: Foreman Journeyman Wireman Cable Splicer $ $ $ 22.00 20.00 22.40 5.50 5.00 2.75 2.50 2.80 5.60 21 22 23 24 For any craft not included in the above list, the mini- mum per diem wages shall be the general prevailing wages for the locality, and shall be not less than $12.00 per day. 25 The foregoing schedule of per diem wages is based upon a working day of eight (8) hours. The hourly wage rate shall be the per diem rate divided by the aforementioned number of hours constituting a working day. Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect. 32 Adopted and approved at a regular council this l8th day of september, 1951. said ~/ City Clerk -1- , '4 I, G.
