THE COMPENSATION FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY AS OF JULY

4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. Effective July 1, 1951, the following
6 employees of the City of Vernon shall receive the compensation
7 or salary hereinafter set forth.
This resolution shall not

affect the existing compensation of any officer or employee not
9
in this resolution specifically set forth:

All employees of said Fire Department shall be em-
ployed temporarily for the first six (6) months of their em-

ployment before receiving a permanent appointment.
The Chief of the Fire Department, in addition to the
salary above set forth, shall receive, when he uses his own auto-
mobile in the service of the city, an additional sum of $75.00
per month, being an allowance for the use and maintenance of
said automobile. The City shall not be responsible for repairs

The salaries of the employees of the Engineering,
Street and Water Department are hereby fixed as follows:

6 section 4. The salaries herein set forth for the several
7 officers and employees of the City of Vernon in the different de-
8 partments, shall be in full force and effe ct from and after the
9 1st day of July, 1951, as to employees included herein and in the
10 service of the City at the time this resolution is adopted.

Section 5. Each employee of the Oity shall be entitled
12 to two (2) weeks vacation during the second year of said service
13 and each year thereafter, at full pay, but wherever an allowance
14 is made in addition to the salary herein set forth, said allow-
15 ance will not be allowed during the vacation period.

Section 6. All resolutions in conflict with this reso-
17 lution are hereby repealed.

Section 7. The Oity Olerk of the Oity of Vernon shall
19 certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and there-
20 after the same shall be in full force and effect.
