A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TKE OI'rY OF VERNON AWARDING
CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING AND INSTALLING OF TWO THREE-WAY FM
RADIO COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS IN ACCORDANCE vVITH SPECIFICATIONS
No. 159 TO RADIO CORPORATION OF AMEfuCA (RCA VICTOR DIVISION),
AND REJECTING ALL OlTHER BIDS.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OJ? VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
THAT \"HIERI';AS, on the 2nd day of October, 1951, at 2:00
o'clock P. M., sealed bids were opened for the furnishing and
installing of Two Three-Way FM Radio Communication Systems for
the City of Vernon, California, in accordance with Specifi~ations
No. 159, and

WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Carl A. Heinze, Oon-
sulting Engineer and Walter B. Hollingworth, City Engineer, for
checking, and
WHEREAS, Specifications No. 159 were heretofore approved

by the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 1552, and
WHEREAS, Carl A. Heinze, consulting Engineer, and Walter
B. Hollingworth, City Engineer, have reported to the City Council
under date of October 15, 1951, advising that the bid of Radio
Corporation of America (RCA Victor Division) in the net sum. of
Eleven Thousand Six Hundred Fifty Four and 68/100 Dollars
($11,654.68) is the lowest bid for said work and materials,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE liT RESOLVED:

Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Vernon

does hereby authorize the execution of a contract as set forth in
said specifications No. 159 with Radio corporation of America
25
(RCA Victor Division) for the doing of the work and furnishing
of the materials as set forth in Specifications NO. 159.
Section 2. That all other bids are rejected.
Section 3. The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
Adopted and approved at a regular meeting of said
