RESOLUTION No. 1562

A RESOLU'fION OF THE CI'f'Y COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON APPOINTING
3 A COMMITTEE ON PUBLIC WORKS.
4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
5 THAT WHEREAS, the City of' Vernon is engaged in the
6 construction, operation and maintenance of' various public works
7 in the City of' Vernon, and
8 WHEREAS, it would be benef'icia1 to the interests of'
9 the City of' Vernon to have a commdttee on public works who could
10 consult- with the City Engineer of the City of Vernon, and others,
11 with reference to said public works during the time that the City
12 Council is not in session,
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,

Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Vernon
15 does hereby appoint Councilmen J. M. Paxon, C. H. Milliard and
16 R. J. Furlong a committee on public works to represent the City
17 Council of the City at Vernon during the time the City Council
18 is not in session;
19
Section 2. !hat the said committee on public works
shall haTe authority to represent the City Council in all matters
20
21 pertaining to the public works of said City during the adjournment
22
of the City Council, and to report their recommendations to the
City Council for such action aa the City Council may determine.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
