A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI'l'Y OF VERNON AWARDING
3 CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF ASPHALT OONCRETE PAVEMENT
AND AP1URTENANCES IN THE CITY HALL YARD.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
THAT WHEREAS, on the 4th day of March, 1952 at 2:00
otclock p.m. sealed bids were opened for the construction of
asphalt concrete pavement and appurtenances in the City Hall Yard
at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon, California, in accordance with
specifications No. 162; and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Walter B. Holling-

worth, City Engineer, for checking; and
WHEREAS, Specifications No. 162 were heretofore approved
by the City Council of the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 1575,
which Resolution was adopted on the 5th day of February, 1952; and
WHEREAS, Walter B. Hollingworth, City Engineer, reports
to the City Council under date of March 15, 1952 advising that
the bid of Los Angeles Paving Company in the net sum of Seven
thousand Five Hundred Sixty-seven and 05/100 Dollars ($7,567.05)

is the lowest bid for said work and material;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby authorize the execution of a contract as set forth
in Specifications No. 162 with the Los Angeles Paving Company
for the doing of the work and furnishing of the materials as set
forth in Specifications No. 162.
Section 2. That all other bids are rejected.
Section 3. The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and there-
after the same shall be in full force and effect.
