2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DIRECTING
THE GIVING OF NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS OR BIDS FOR THE
3 RESURFACING OF FRUITLAND A VEI:'J"UE FROM PACIFIC BOULEVARD TO DOWNEY
ROAD IN THE CITY OF VERNON, CALIFORNIA, WITH PREMIX ROCK AND OIL
4 PAVEMENT.
5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. The City Clerk of the City of Vernon 1s
hereby directed to give notice inviting sealed proposals or bids
for the resurfacing of Fruitland Avenue from Pacific Boulevard
to Downey Road in the City of Vernon, California, with premix rock
and oil pavement, in accordance with Specifications No. 165

approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon on the 20th day
of May, 1952.

Sect10n 2. There being no newspaper of general circula-
tion printed, published and circulated in the City of Vernon, the
City Clerk is hereby directed to post said notice, or cause the
same to be posted, in three of the most public places in said
City, to wit: The northwest corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe
Avenue; the northwest corner of 37th Street and Santa Fe Avenue,
and on the bulletin board in the lobby of the City Hall of the
City of Vernon 10cated at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue in said City.
Section 3. The first posting of said notice shall be
not less than ten (10) days before the date of opening bids for
the proposed project.
The notice shall distinctly state the project to be done.
The not1ce inviting seE'J. ed proposals or bids shall set
the date for opening of said bids.
Section 4. The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this resolution and
thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
