RESOLUTION No. 1609

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AUTHORIZ-
3 ING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT FOR RENTAL OF MOTOR EQUIPI{ENT.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

6 WHEREAS, the City of Vernon has been invest1gating
7 the supplying of motor cars and equipment to the Police Depart-
8 ment of said city, and
9 WHEREAS, after investigation it is determined to be
10 more economical to the City of Vernon to rent said motor cars
11 and equipment than to purchase and maintain the same, and
12 WHEREAS, the City Council and the Chief of Police of
13 the City of Vernon have determined that the contract of the
14 California Truck Rental Company, a California corporation, is
15 more advantageous to the City of Vernon than any other,
16 NOW, THEREFORE, the attached contract, together with
17 Schedule ftA" thereof, of the California Truck Rental Company
18 is approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are directed to
19 execute the same.
20 The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall certify to
21 the passage of this resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
22 same shall be in full force and effect.
23 Adopted and Approved this 15th day of July, 1952.
