A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE OF A ROADWAY ACROSS UNION PACIFIC'S
RIGHT OF WAY AND THE VERNON INDUSTRIAL LEAD TRACK NO. 3 IN THE
VICINITY OF MILE POST 3.64, SAN PEDRO BRANCH, VERNON, CALIFORNIA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: '

WHEREAS, it has become necessary for the City of Vernon
to provide an entrance from Downey Road to the Water Department

Pumping Plant No.2, said entrance to be on the west side of
Downey Road approximately 550 feet south of Vernon Avenue, and
WHEREAS, the entrance necessitates crossing a portion
12
of the right of way of the Union Pacific Railroad Company, which
lies within the 20 foot set-back area of Downey Road, and
13

WHEREAS, the Union Pacific Railroad Company has submitted
an agreement covering the license for the use of a private roadway
16
across its right of way and Industrial Lead Tract No.3, and
WHEREAS, said license agreement has been approved by the
City Engineer of the City of Vernon and the City Attorney of the

City of Vernon;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1:
That the City of Vernon hereby approves said

License Agreement referred to by the Union Pacific Railroad
Company in its letter of March 14, 1952 as CLD 11017, and auth-
orizes and directs the Mayor and City Clerk of said City to
execute said License Agreement ~or and on behalf of said City.

Section 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shal1
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and there-
after the same shall be in full force and effect.
