RESOLUTION No. 1613

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AWARDING
2 TO JOHNSTON PUMP COlVIPANY THE CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING AND
DELIVERY TO THE CITY OF VERNON OF PUMPING EQ,UIPMENT FOR WELL NO.
3 11 OF SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS No. 167.
4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
5 WHEREAS, the City has heretofore publicly advertised
6 for bids for the furnishing and delivery to the City of Vernon
7 of pumping equipment for Well No. 11 in said City, and
8 WHEREAS, Johnston Pump Company has filed a bid for the
9 furnishing of said materials and work in accordance with Specifi-
10 cations No. 167 at a cost to the City of Vernon of One Thousand
11 Four Hundred Ninety-nine and nO/100 Dol1ars ($1,499.00) pIus State
12 sales tax,
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

Section 1:
That all bids heretofore received for the
furnishing and delivery of pumping equipment for Well No. 11 in
accordance with Specifications No. 167 in response to a notice

inviting bids issued July 1, 1952, be and the same are hereby re-
jected with the exception of the bid of Johnston Pump Company, and
that the Johnston Pump Company be awarded the contract at the price
named in their bid, to wit: $1,499.00, plus State sales tax.
Section 2:
The City Clerk is hereby instructed and
22 empowered to return all checks to unsuccessful bidders.

Section 3:
That the City Attorney of the City of

Vernon be authorized to draw a contract to conform to the bid of
said contractor.
Section 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and there-
after the same shall be in full force and effect.
Adopted and Approved this 5th day of August, 1952.
