A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING
ONE DEEP WELL TURBINE PUMPING UNIT FURNISHED BY LAYNE & BOWLER
CORPORATION FOR WELL NO. 5 IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO.
160 OF THE CITY OF VERNON, AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT THEREFOR.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon did
heretofore enter into a contract dated August 21, 1951 with

Layne & Bowler Corporation for one new deep wel1 turbine pumping
unit and accessory equipment for Water Well No.5 of the City
of Vernon in accordance with Specifications No. 160 of said City;

and
WHEREAS, the Layne & Bowler Corporation has completed
the work and furnished the material in accordance with the afore-

said contract; and

WlIEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Vernon did
examine the equipment and recommends that it be accepted by the
City of Vernon;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

Section 1:
That the furnishing and delivery to the
City of Vernon of one deep well turbine pumping unit and accessory
equipment specified in the aforementioned contract in accordance
with Specifications No. 160 of said City be, and the same is hereby
accepted as completed in accordance with the terms of the afore-

said contract.

Section 2:
The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
approves and .directs the payment of Two Thousand One Hundred
Forty-four and 96/100 Dollars ($2,144.96) plus state sales tax of
Sixty-four and 35/100 Dol1ars ($64.35) to Layne & Bowler Corpora-
tion for the furnishing of said deep well turbine pumping unit
and accessory equipment.
Section 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
