A RESOLUTION OF' 'I'HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF' VERNON FIXING
3 THE RATE OF 1'AXES AND LEV~{ING THE TAXES FOR THE PISCAL YEAR
BEGINNING JULY 1, 1952.

5 THE CI1'Y COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1:
That for the purpose of raising the sum of
7
money to be raised by taxation upon taxable property in the City
8
of Vernon as revenue to carryon the various departments of the
9
City for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1952, the rate of
10
taxes for the different portions of the City of Vernon are hereby
11
12
fixed and the taxes are hereby Ie vied on all taxable property in
the different portions of said city for the fiscal year beginning
13
14

16
July 1, 1952, in the number of cents upon each one hundred dol-
lars of the assessed value of said property, as assessed by the
County Assessor and equalized by the Board of Supervisors of said
County of Los Angeles, and for the several funds and purposes set
17
forth in the following table, the taxes Ie vied upon property in
18
each portion of said City hereinafter described and designated by
19
a District number, being at the rates set opposite the designa-
20

portion of said City, as hereinafter stated.

DISTRICT No.1: All that portion of the City of Vernon
24
included within the boundaries thereof as originally incorporated;
25
a11 that territory annexed to the City of Vernon,at annexation
election held July 9, 1925, and known as VERNON AVENUE ANNEXATION;
all that territory annexed to the City of Vernon at annexation
election held October 3, 1928 and known as VERNON AND DOWNEY
'I'ERR I'rORY .

All that territory annexed to the City
of Vernon at annexation election held October 26, 1920 known as

Section 3:
There being no newspaper printed, pub-
11 lished and circulated in the City of Vernon, the City Clerk is
12 hereby directed to certify to the passage of this Resolution
13 and shal1 post same, or cause same to be posted in three of the
14 most public places in the City of Vernon, to wit: The north-
15 west corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue, the northwest
16 corner of 37th Street and Santa Fe Avenue, and the Bulletin Board
17 in the Lobby of the City Hall of the City of Vernon, located at
18 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, and that immediately upon the posting
19 thereof this resolution shall be in full force and effect.
