A. RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON A.W!RDING
3 TO DEL DRYER CHEVROLET THE CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING AND
DELIVERY TO THE CITY OF VERNON OF ONE CHEVROLET 1952 MODEL FOUR
4 DOOR DELUXE SEDAN IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO. 169 OF
SAID CITY.

6 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
7 WHEREAS, the City has heretofore publicly advertised
8 for bids for the furnishing and delivery to the City of Vernon
9 of one passenger automobile for use by the Fire Department of
10 said City, in accordance with Specifications No. 169; and
11 WHEREAS, Del Dryer Chevrolet has filed a bid for the
12 furnishing of said automobile in accordance with Specifications
13 No. 169 at a cost to the City of One Thousand Seven Hundred Dol-
14 lara and twenty-six cents ($1,700.26), including state taxes,
15 but less Federal Excise tax and the trade-in allowance;
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

Section 1: That all bids heretofore received for the
furnishing of one passenger automobile in accordance with
Specifications No. 169 of said City in response to a notice
inviting bids issued October 7, 1952 be and the same are hereby
rejected, with the exception of the bid of Del Dryer Chevrolet,
and that the Del Dryer Chevrolet be awarded the contract at the
price named in its bid, to wit: $1,700.26 net, and the City
Council directs the proper city officials to enter into a pur-
chase agreement with Del Dryer Chevrolet for the purchase of said
automobile.

Section 2:
The City Clerk is hereby instructed and
empowered to return all checks to unsuccessful bidders.
Section 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon
