RESOLUTION No. 1638

3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON APPROVING
AND AUTHORIZING TWO HALLICRAFTER WALKIE-TALKIE UNITS INCLUDED IN
4 THE RCA SERVICE COMPANY, INC. CONTRACT.
5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

WHEREAS, the City of Vernon has recently purehased
two Hallicrafter Walkie-Talkie radio units; and
WHEREAS, the use of said radio units will require

regular service to insure their maximum efficiency; and

WHEREAS, Walter B. Hollingworth, City Engineer, has
investigated and reported upon the advisability of including
these units in the contract entered into by the City of Vernon
with the RCA Service Company, Inc. authorized by Resolution
No. 1599 of the City of Vernon and recommends that these units
be included in said contract.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1: That the City of Vernon cause an amend-
ment to the maintenance and service contract entered into as

authorized and directed by Resolution No. 1599 of the City of
21

Vernon to include two Hallicrafter Walkie-Talkie units at an
additional service charge of $9.97 per month, and the Mayor
and City Clerk are hereby directed to execute such an ~~endment
for and on behalf of said city.
Section 2: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this resolution
