RESOLUTION No. 1639

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING
3 ONE CHEVROLET 1952 MODEL FOUR-DOOR DELUXE SEDAN IN ACCORDANCE
WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO. 169 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.

5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon did
7 heretofore enter into a contract dated November 5, 1952 with
8 Del Dryer Chevrolet for one new passenger automobi~ and
9 accessories for use by the Fire Department of said City, in
10 accordance with Specifications No. 169; and
11 WHEREAS, the Del Dryer Chevrolet has furnished said
12 automobile in accordance with the aforesaid contract; and
13 WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Vernon did
14 examine said automobile and recommends that it be accepted by
15 the City of Vernon;
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

Section 1: That the furnishing and delivery to the
18 City of Vernon of one Chevrolet 1952 Model Four-Door Deluxe Sedan
19 in accordance with Specifications No. 169 of said City be, and
20 the same is hereby accepted as completed in accordance with the
21 terms of the aforesaid contract.

Section 2:
The City Council of the City of Vernon
23 hereby approves and directs payment to Del Dryer Chevrolet of One
24 Thousand Five Hundred Thirty & 23/100 Dollars ($1530.23) for the
25 furnishing of said automobile and accessories.
Section 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage ~ this resolution and
thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

Gentlemen:
Del Dryer Chevrolet has completed in a satisfactory manner
the furnishing 8J:ld delivery to the City of Vernon of one" new passenger
automobile and accessories for Fire Department use, in accordance
with Specifications No. 169 and as provided in Contract dated November
5, 1952. It is therefore recommended that same be accepted.
Ninety percent, (90%), of the contract price is due and paya-
ble upon acceptance of the equipment by the City Council of the City
of Vernon and balance thirty-five (35) days thereafter. The total
amount due under the contract, and amount payable upon acceptance of
the equipment is as follows:
