RESOLUT ION No. 1642

6 WHEREAS, a certain zoning variance was granted Food
7 Machinery and Chemical Corporation under date of October 7, 1952
8 by Resolution No. 1633; and
9 WHEREAS, Food Machinery and Chemical Corporation Cor-
IO poration under date of December 9, 1952 requested an extension of
11 ninety days in which to comply with the aforesaid variance; and.
12 WHEREAS, said request recited that said Food Machinery
13 and Chemical Corporation has proceeded with diligence to comply
14 with said variance but has encountered unforeseeable de1~1';
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

Section 1: That the time granted the Food Machinery
17 and Chemical Corporation to comply with Resolution No. 1633 be
18 extended for a period of ninety days.

Section 2: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
20 hereby directed to certify to the passage of this resolution and
21 thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
22 effec t.

On October 7, 1952, your Honorable Body granted us a Zoning Variance
under Resolution No.16JJ.
It is our understanding that an existing Ordinance requires construction
work to be started within ninety (90) days after the effective date of
the granting of the Variance which was October 7, 1952.
The preliminary work, such as making drawings for the proposed building,
has been started, but we are certain that actl1e~ construction will not
be started by January 7, 1953, due to some matters taking longer time
then was anticipated. We are not intentionally delaying this construc-
tion work, but matters of this kind require thoughtful consideration of
many i terns and thi s is time consuming.
We expect to get started on actual construction within thirty (30) to
sixty (60) days after the expiration of the ninety (90) day period, but
we would like an extension of ninety (90) days, from Janu~ry 7, 1953.
We, therefore, respectfully request your Honorable Body for an extension
of time to April 7, 1953, within which to have actual construction started.
