A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DECLARING PREVAILING RATE FOR PER DIEM WAGES TO BE USED IN THE FURNISHING AND INSTALIATION OF TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNALS AT SANTA FE AVENUE AND 55TH STREET, PACIFIC BOULEVARD AND FRUITLAND AVENUE, AND SLAUSON AVENUE AND ALCOA AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF VERNON, IN ACCORDANCE WITH ENGINEER! S SPECIFICATIONS NO. 168 AND PLANS NOS. B12B-1146, B12B-1147 ~ B12B-1148. 5 6 7 8 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Vernon has ascertained and does hereby find and declare that the geners.L.pre- vailing rate per diem for wages for laborers, workmen and mechanics employed by contractors and sub-contractors, for the doing of any work set forth in Specifications No. 168 and Plans Nos. The hourly wage rate shall be the 6 per diem rate divided by the aforementioned number of hours consti- tuting a working day. Notice is also hereby given that, pursuant to said Labor Code of California, it shall be mandatory upon the Contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any sub-contractor under him, to pay to all laborers, workmen or mechanics employed by them in the execution of the contract not less than the said specified rates, which rates shall be included in the contract to the successful 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 bidder. 15 Section 2.
