RESOLUTION No. 1646

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING
3 EASEMENT ACROSS THE TRACKS OF THE LOS ANGELES &: SALT LAKE RAIL-
ROAD COMPANY AND UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY AT BICKETT STREET
4 IN THE CITY OF VERNON.
5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS, the City Council believes it is for the best
7 interest of the City of Vernon to accept an easement for street
8 purposes across the tracks of the Los Angeles &: Sale Lake Rail-
9 road Company and its Lessee the Union Pacific Railroad Company
10 on Bickett Street in the Cityof Vernon; and
11 WHEREAS, the Los Angeles &: Salt Lake Railroad Company
12 and the Union Pacific Railroad Company have tendered such an
13 easement to the City of Vernon;
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

Section 1: That the Easement for street purposes
16 tendered by the Los Angeles & Salt Lake Railroad Company and the
17 Union Pacific Railroad Company on the property described as
18 follows:
That parcel of land situated in the City of Vernon,

County of Los Angeles, State of California, and along a center
line described as follows:

Commencing at a point on the center line of
54th street, 40 feet in width, distant thereon S. 880
52' 07" W. 1000.90 feet from the center line of Boyle
Avenue 80 feet in width; thence S. 10 10' 13ft E. 311.59
feet to a point on the northerly line of said right of
way, said last mentioned point being the TRUE POINT OF
BEGINNING; thence S. 10 10' 13ft E. 61.5 feet to a point
on the southerly line of said right of way distant S.
880 47' 34" W. 1001.4+ feet measured along said southerly
line and the prolongation thereof from the center line
of said Boyle Avenue,

be and the same is hereby accepted.
Section 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this resolution and
thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
