A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON REQUESTING
TRANSFER OF RIGHT OF WAY OR SITES MOlrEY TO PLANS PREPARATION
ALLOCATIONS UNDER CHAPTER 47, STATUTES OF 1944 (4th Extra Session).

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

WHEREAS, the State of California under Chapter 47,
Statutes of 1944, (4th Extra Session) appropriated funds for

allotment to Local Agencies, defined therein as cities, cities
and counties, or counties, for the purpose of aiding in the
9

acquisition of rights of way and sites for certain postwar public
11
works projects in which there is a State interest, all as set
12
forth in said Act; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 1455, Statutes of 1945, which amends the
13

aforesaid Act, authorizes a Local Agency to use monies allocated
to such Local Agency, under said Act, for acquisition of rights
of way and sites, to be transferred and used in preparing surveys,
plans and specifications for a specific project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon, California, here~nafter
called "Local Agency", has had allocated to it by said Act an
allocation for the acquisition of rights of way or sites which
allocation contains a sufficient balance to permit Local Agency

to apply to the State Allocation Board under the aforesaid Act,

as amended, for the transfer therefrom of the sum hereinafter
24
mentioned to be added to the amount allocated or assigned to
Local Agency for the preparation of surveys, plans and specifica-
25
tions for a specific project as set forth in said Act; and
WHEREAS, an application for such transfer has been sub-
mitted to this governing body for consideration;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1:
That Local Agency herein named applies to

the State Allocation Board pursuant to the provisions of Chapter
47, Statutes of 1944 (4th Extra Session) as amended by Chapter

1 1455, Statutes of 1945, for the transfer of the sum of Three
2 Hundred Twenty-eight and 18/100 Dollars ($328.18) from Local
3 Agency's allocation for acquisition of rights of way or sites,
4 to be added to the amount allocated or assigned to Local Agency
5 under said Act for the preparation of surveys, plans and
6 specifications for a specific project; and
7
Section 2: R. J. Furlong, Mayor, is hereby authorized
8 and directed to sign said application on behalf of Local Agency
9 and transmit the same to the State Allocation Board and that two
10 certified copies be forwarded to said State Allocation Board;
11
Section 3: The City Clerk of the City o:f Vernon shall
12
certify to the passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full :force and effect.
