RESOLUTION NO. 1665
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON APPROVING
AND AUTHORIZING A RADIO SERVICE CONTRACT WITH RCA SERVICE
COMPANY, INC. COr~NCING JUNE 1, 1953.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon heretofore entered into a
service contract with RCA SERVICE COMPANY, INC., which contract
has expired; and
WHEREAS, the use of said radio communications systems
has demonstrated the need of regular service; and
WHEREAS, Carl A. Heinze, Consulting Engineer, and Walter
B. Hollingworth, City Engineer, have investigated and reported
upon the advisability of the City continuing such a service
contract and having complete service and maintenance, and have
recommended the Mobil Coramunications Service Contract proposed
by RCA Service Company, Inc. beginning June 1, 1953, copies of
which contract are submitted herewith and by reference incor-
porated herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1: That the City of Vernon enter into the afore-
said contract with the RCA Service Company, Inc., and the Mayor
and City Clerk are hereby directed to execute said contract for
and on behalf of said City.
Section 2: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this resolution and
thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
