A RESOLU'J:ION OF 'l'HE CI'rY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AJvJENDING
3 RESOLD'I'ION NO. 166L~.
4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF 'rHf:. CITY OP VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLO'vV'S:
5 WtlliREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
6 re-eva1uated the cost to the City of Vernon of preparine plans
7 for the public project referred to in Resolution No. 1664 of the
8 City of Vernon;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1:
That Section 2 of said Resolution No.
1664 be, and it is hereby amended to read as fol1mlls:
"Section 2: That the estimated cost of pre-
paring such plans is Ten Thousand Two Hundred and
no/100 Dollars ($10,200.00) and that Local Agency
has made provision for paying one-half or more of the
cost of preparing such plans."
Section 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
Adopted and Approved this 6th day of October, 1953.

Gentlemen:
On June 16, 1953, the City of' Vernon file d an "Application
for Plan Preparation Reimbursement for Public Works Projects" with
the State of' Calif'ornia Department of Finance for funds, amounti~~ to
$ll05.87, allocated to the City under Chapter 47, Statutes of 1944
(4th Extra Session), as amended; said amount to be used to defray a
portion of the cost of the plans and specifications for Fire Station
No.2.
After checking the application, the State has requested
that an amended application be filed to show the estimated cost of
the plans to be 85~ of the Architects' fe~ instead of 100% of the
fee. Their interpretation of the Architects' contract is that 85%
of the fee is f'or preparation of' plans and specifications and l5%
is for supervision during construction. They also request that
Section 2 of Resolution No. 1664 authorizing the filing of the appli-
cation under Chapter 47 be amended to read as f'ollows:
Section 2:
That the estimated cost of' preparin& such plans
i~ Ten Thousand, Two Hundred and no/100 Dollars
($10,200.00) and that Local Agency has made
provision for paying one-half or more of the
cost of preparing such plans; .
The City Engineer has prepared the amended application and
it is recommended that it be filed with the State of Calif'ornia,
together with Resolution amending Section 2 of Resolution No. 1664.
