A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON APPROVING
SPECIFICATIONS NO. 171 AND PLANS NOS. B5-l249, B5-1250, B5-1251,
B5-1252, B5-1253, B5-1254, B5-1255, and B5-1258 FOR THE FURNISH-
ING, ERECTING, PAINTING, AND DELIVERY COMPLETE IN PLACE, INCLUDING
GRADING AND FOUNDATIONS, OF FIVE (5) JJELDED STEEL WATER STORAGE
RESERVOIRS OF APPROXIMATELY ONE MILLION GALLONS CAPACITY EACH.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

WHEREAS, it is necessary that the water storage and
distribution facilities of the City of Vernon Water Department

be expanded; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Vernon has
prepared plans and specifications for said expansion;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1:
That Specifications No. 17l and Plans Nos.
B5-1249, B5-1250,B5-125l, B5-1252, B5-1253, B5-1254, B5-l255,
and B5-1258, submitted by Walter B. Hollingworth, City Engineer
of the City of Vernon be, and the same are hereby approved as
the specifications and plans for the furnishing, erecting, paint-
ing, and delivery complete in place, including grading and
foundations, of five (,5) welded steel water storage reservoirs
of approximately one million gallons capacity each; two (2)
reservoirs at Pumping Plant No.2, southerly of Vernon Avenue and
Westerly of Downey Road; and three (3) reservoirs at Pumping
Plant No.3, northerly of Fruitland Avenue and westerly of Downey
Road, within the City of Vernon;
Section 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and there-
after the same shall be in full force and effect.
